Foreign investors get mixed signals in Indonesia

One of Asia's fastest growing economies is sending out mixed signals to foreign investors.

Last week, the Indonesian government announced new investment rules for the banking sector, limiting ownership in local banks by another financial institution to 40%.

But there was some positive news for foreign investors in the form of an exemptions for the country's stronger banks.

The changes follow the tough regulations limiting foreign investment in the mining sector.

So what's the climate like for investors looking to put money into Indonesia?
