Battle for Tiger beer is brewing in Singapore
Interest in one of the largest brewers in South East Asia has been growing recently.
Asia Pacific Breweries (APB), the maker of of Tiger Beer, is at the centre of what could turn into a bidding battle.
APB is a joint venture between the Dutch brewer Heineken and Fraser & Neave. On Friday, Heineken offered $4bn for the half of the venture it doesn't already own.
But that has now brought the Japanese brewer, Kirin into the fray. It owns 15% of Fraser & Neave and is now thought to be discussing how to increase that stake, rather than be squeezed out by Heineken.
Taking a look at the whole saga is the BBC's Sharanjit Leyl in Singapore.
