UK recession: Fall in construction hits UK GDP
The UK economy shrank by 0.7% between April and June, according to the Office for National Statistics.
It was a bigger number than experts predicted, representing Britain's longest double-dip recession for more than 50 years.
The sharp slowdown in construction continued, with output in the building sector falling 5.2% in the second quarter compared to the first three months of the year.
Stephanie McGovern spoke to builders in Devon who said they have had to diversify to survive.
