RBS boss Hester apologises again for computer meltdown
The boss of RBS has insisted that the bank is safer and stronger than before despite pre-tax losses of one and half billion pounds in the first six months of the year.
Stephen Hester admitted the banking industry still has some way to go to put right the mistakes made before the financial crisis.
The bank is paying out over a hundred million pounds to RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank customers who were hit by last month's computer glitch.
