Japan firms 'committed' to China
Japanese electronics maker Panasonic was among the first to suspend some of its operations in China after anti-Japan protesters attacked two of its factories.
The firm said its factory in Qingdao will remain shut through to the end of 18 September.
Other major Japanese firms including Canon and Honda have also suspended operations at several plants in China on the eve of an expected fresh wave of anti-Japan demonstrations.
Asia Business Report's Sharanjit Leyl asked Ted Plafker, author of Doing Business In China, if the effects of these demonstrations would be long lasting.
