Burma's president visits US urging an end to sanctions
The president of Burma, Thein Sein, visits the United States this week, to attend the United Nations General Assembly, with trade opportunities a focus of the trip.
His visit follows last week's trip to New York, by the Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who received the Congressional Gold Medal.
As the BBC's Jonathan Head explains Burma's political leaders want the US to ease a ban on imports of products from their country, which was implemented in 2003.
