Penguin and Random House merger a "pretty good deal"

Two of the world's biggest publishers have agreed a tie-up which will see their book businesses combined.

Penguin and Random House, which will now be known as Penguin Random House, announced the move on Monday.

Independent media consultant Theresa Wise described it as "a pretty good deal" because "people aren't buying books in the way they used to".
