Google 'pays all the tax required'
Google UK's chief executive Matt Brittin has told a Commons Select Committee the company pays "all the tax we're required."
The search engine's European business runs from Ireland because of favourable corporation tax rates.
His comment, in response to a question about whether the company lived up to its slogan, "do no evil," prompted the committee's chair, Ms Hodge to tell him, "we don't think you pay a tax that is just."
