How safe is your money in a credit union?

Credit unions have been widely viewed as an alternative to your high street bank for loans or savings accounts.

Since the global economic crisis, many people have been finding it difficult to borrow or save money.

BBC Breakfast spoke to Reverend Martin Baldock, a saver who uses a credit union, and Mark Neale, chief executive of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
