RBS chairman Sir Philip grilled by 5 live callers

The Chairman of RBS, Sir Philip Hampton, has answered listener's questions on bonuses and the bank's future on BBC Radio 5 live Your Call.

The bank, which is 80% owned by the taxpayer after its £45bn bailout in 2008, announced a bigger than expected pre-tax loss of £5.2m on Thursday.

Jo, in Edinburgh, asked Sir Philip about bankers' bonuses and Helen, from Stenhousemuir, pressed him over what he called the bank's legacy.
