Budget 2013: Chancellor's rebalancing act

When George Osborne became chancellor in 2010, his focus was not just on fixing the hole in public finances.

Along with pretty much every UK economic expert, he also wanted to "rebalance" the economy.

That meant getting more exports, greater investment and growth from manufacturing.

The experience of one company in Essex highlights some of the issues that have been getting in the way of rebalancing the economy.
