Kurdistan's oil industry has the potential to be lucrative but is not without its challenges, according the chief executive of Genel Energy, Tony Hayward.

Crude oil is easy to access, the regional government is keen to encourage investment and - compared to the rest of Iraq - it is very safe.

But with Baghdad failing to pay companies for oil that has been sold abroad and the shadow of the Baghdad-Irbil dispute hanging over the industry, what is it like to operate there?
