Described as the biggest crisis to hit horse racing for years, the revelation that 11 horses from the Godolphin stable had been given banned anabolic steroids has rocked the sport.

The animals tested positive in the UK but Godolphin - one of the world's leading racing operations - is based in Dubai.

So how much damage has been done to the image of the business, the Emirate, and the driving force behind Godolphin- ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum?
