Slowing growth 'significant blow' for SA economy

South Africa's economic growth slowed sharply in the first three months of the year.

According to official figures, between January and March, the country's economy grew by just 0.9%, compared with the previous quarter.

The BBC's James Copnall said that growth was expected to be stronger, so the weak data was as a "significant blow... to the South African authorities - to the South African economy".
