RBS CEO Hester: 'I'm not bent out of shape'
Royal Bank of Scotland CEO Stephen Hester is to stand down.
Mr Hester explained to Today programme presenter James Naughtie the reasons why he is leaving.
"I want to dispel any issue or problem around this. I'm not feeling bent out of shape or disappointed."
"This is the job that half of me will be delighted to have over, the other half, of course, I would like to be in the trenches with my people to finish it off. So I'm not being prised out in any way reluctantly. It's the board's job to figure out what's the best way for this company to go forward."
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Thursday 13 June 2013.
