Indonesia braces for higher fuel costs

Indonesians are bracing themselves for higher fuel prices after the government cut long-established subsidy.

The move, which agreed upon was after months of debate and political haggling, has proved unpopular and sparked street protests.

This is despite the government saying that it will give 15 million poor families cash handouts to offset the increase.
