Mark Carney ready for Bank of England role
After 10 years in charge of the Bank of England, Sir Mervyn King stepped down as governor on Friday - and on Monday the role will be taken up by Canadian Mark Carney.
The first foreigner to take on the job in the Bank's 300 year history, the former Bank of Canada governor was a top Goldman Sachs banker before moving into politics and has been described as a "financial rock star".
