Ofgem: 'We need to do more to restore trust'

A report by the Energy and Climate Change Committee (ECCC) has said the watchdog Ofgem has been "failing consumers by not taking all possible steps to improve openness".

Sarah Harrison, from Ofgem, agreed that the energy regulator needed to do more to restore trust and confidence in the energy market.

Ms Harrison told the BBC said it was Ofgem's goal to get stronger transparency which will contribute to a much more competitive energy market and will put pressure on prices and profits.
