Vodafone shareholder: 'I will reinvest my shares'

Stan Grierson is a director of ShareSoc, an organisation which lobbies for and provides support for private shareholders.

He has held shares in Vodafone for more than 20 years, going back to its predecessor Racal.

Mr Grierson told BBC News how he does not think the new deal will bring a boost to the UK economy:

"If Verizon choose to pay for a substantial proportion of shares, the cash will not come into the economy. Many of the Vodafone shareholders are long-term people - it will simply stay in their portfolios."
