Ending EU roaming charges 'a big mistake' - Three boss
Scrapping mobile phone roaming charges in Europe would be a "big mistake" according to one of the bosses at mobile network Three.
Under the European Commission's plans, companies would be banned from charging for incoming calls from July 2014. All other roaming charges would be scrapped by 2016.
Guy Middleton, Head of Corporate Communications at the mobile network Three, gave BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up To Money his reaction to the proposals.
"The Commission up until now has done a great job in bringing prices down for consumers...but we think they're about to make a big mistake...that is to say, calls while roaming cost you no more than at home."
