Older workers aid economy boost

Growth figures due to be released on Thursday are expected to show continued improvement in the UK economy.

One of the features of the recovery has been the number of older people working on beyond retirement age.

According to official figures, just over one million people are still working past the age of 65, and 324,000 of those are 70 and over.

Hugh Pym reports.
