'Take advantage of London' - Islamic investors told
David Slater from London and Partners has called for Islamic finance businesses to "take advantage" of the opportunities in London.
The statement comes as over 2,500 Muslim business leaders and politicians meet in London for the first World Islamic Economic Forum held outside an Islamic country.
Under Islamic rules no interest on business dealings can be charged, and transactions must not involve anything forbidden under Sharia law, such as gambling or alcohol.
Mr Slater told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "It's not about politics or religion... London is the place where East and West meets and where there is this great trading opportunity."
