E.On boss calls for Competition Commission investigation

The chief executive of E.On has called for a Competition Commission investigation to "de-politicise" the debate on energy prices.

The energy companies have been called in front of MPs on the Energy and Climate Change Committee (ECCC) to justify recent price rises.

"I fundamentally believe that this market is competitive but I acknowledge we are not trusted and therefore I believe we need to have a very thorough Competition Commission investigation," said Tony Cocker.
