UK Mail boss on profits and Royal Mail privatisation

The UK's largest independent parcels, mail and logistics company, UK Mail Group, has just reported a 63% jump in half-year profits to £11.9m.

The company's chief executive Guy Buswell told BBC News it was down to a growth in the parcels business, saying: "Our volumes are up 25%."

Asked if the newly-privatised Royal Mail was now a competitor, he said: "Royal Mail is one of our biggest suppliers and we're one of their biggest customers. The privatisation will definitely make them more efficient and that's what we need."
