WTO trade reform talks hit stumbling block
Talks centred on helping to push through trade reform at the World Trade Organization (WTO) have hit a stumbling block.
Ministers gathered in Geneva could not agree on a text to be presented in Bali, Indonesia, next month to reach a deal.
Diplomats from the WTO's 159 member countries had been in talks to agree on rules that would streamline custom procedures and speed up global trade.
According to the International Chamber of Commerce, a potential deal could add more than $900bn to the world economy and create 21 million jobs.
The BBC's Sharanjit Leyl asked Tony Nash, vice president at consulting and research firm IHS, whether a deal can be reached in Bali.
