Can Triumph win over India's bikers?

The famous British brand Triumph Motorcycles is going to start selling its iconic bikes in India.

Sales of other powerful bikes have been growing strongly as top-end buyers resist the impact of the slowing economy.

But the firm faces competition in the country with rivals Harley Davidson and Ducati having already launched their products.

Triumph first showcased its bikes in India at the Delhi Auto Show two years ago.

Paul Stroud, global director of sales and marketing at Triumph, told the BBC's Shilpa Kannan that the firm had "carefully planned" its entry into the country.
