Amazon workers strike in Germany

Workers at some of Amazon's German warehouses are entering a second day of strike action over a long-running pay dispute.

On Monday trade union Verdi held rallies outside the company's logistic centres in Bad Hersfeld, Leipzig and Graben, while Tuesday's action focuses on the town of Werne.

The union says Amazon is not paying staff comparable rates to other German warehouse workers, because it classifies them as logistics workers, whose rates of pay are lower.
