Gin firm offers grants in bid to save juniper plants
A gin-making firm is offering grants to those willing to help protect Britain's juniper plants from extinction.
Juniper plants, which provide berries used in flavouring gin, have been in decline due to disease and lack of habitat.
Gin firm No 3 London now plans to award grants worth thousands of pounds to landowners and charities who can help the plants to grow and thrive.
Tim Wilkins, from the charity Plantlife, spoke to BBC Radio 5 live's Morning Reports.
