Japan and China ties key to growth

Global leaders are gathered in the Swiss ski resort of Davos for the annual World Economic Forum.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe delivered an upbeat picture of the Japanese economy in his speech on the first day.

But he also warned that military tensions in Asia must not threaten growth in the region. Japan and China have been in locked in several territorial disputes.

Carlos Ghosn, who heads the Japanese carmaker Nissan, told the BBC's Chief business correspondent, Linda Yueh, that cordial relations between the two countries were key to their growth.
