Indonesian tennis needs development drive
With tennis in mature markets in the West fighting to keep people playing in the face of other leisure attractions, the sport is looking to make inroads in Asia.
However, despite a growing economy in Indonesia, tennis is a sport largely played by the relatively wealthy in the country.
Administrators, former players and the parents of up and coming young players all agree that something has to be done to increase the accessibility of tennis.
There is also a need for the private sector to get involved with more sponsorship funding for the sport.
