Airbus boss: We learnt from our mistakes with A380 delay

Airbus executive Kiran Rao has been giving more information about the new A350 plane: "We have an aircraft that not only delivers excellent comfort and passenger appeal, but also delivers the lowest fuel burn."

The European plane manufacturer finalised a deal with UK-based leasing company Amedeo at the Singapore Airshow for 20 A380 superjumbo jets worth $8.3bn (£5bn).

Mr Rao told the BBC that Airbus had learnt from its previous mistakes with the A380 and was confident in the face of competition from new manufacturers.
