Women leading UK high street business revival

Analysis by the BBC of thousands of shops in Britain has revealed a dramatic change in the character of our high streets.

Of the businesses set up in the last two years, 50 percent are led by a woman.

That is more than double the figure for firms established more than 20 years ago, fewer than a quarter of which have a woman at the helm.

The BBC's Home Affairs Editor Mark Easton took a look at the figures and sent this report from the ancient market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire.
