Ukraine crisis could hit gas prices, expert warns
European gas prices could rise as a result of the Ukraine crisis, a leading energy consultant has warned.
David Cox, director at London Energy Consulting, claimed industrial prices would immediately rise by 10% if gas was cut off from Europe.
However, he insisted that there were enough gas supplies to keep the UK and Europe going.
Mr Cox told BBC Radio 5 live's Adam Parsons: "We can get gas from... other places in the world if we're willing to pay the price, but the impact is likely to be on consumers."
