Business must 'work with government' on climate change
The role of business is to "supply the scale and the speed" to initiatives promoting a low-carbon economy, a top UN climate change official has said.
Christiana Figueres, head of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, explained that governments and business must "work together" on the issue.
Gareth Stace, head of climate and environment policy at EEF, added that UK businesses have "improved their efficiency" by 40% in the last 30 years, which accounts for "more than other any sector" in the UK.
