Hopes for economy in India's upcoming general election

India, the world's largest democracy, has set a date for its next general election.

On 7 April in India, more than 800 million people are expected to turn out and vote for their next leader.

Organising election day will be a mammoth task, but many are hoping it will signal a turning point for the country's languishing economy.
