China and Russia sign 30-year gas deal

Russia and China have signed a long-awaited gas supply agreement.

There have been no details about the cost of the deal but it has been unofficially valued at more than $400bn.

Russia is expected to supply China with gas via a new eastern pipeline linking the two countries.
