Demand for British wine 'overstretching' growers
British wine producers are struggling to keep up with rising demand, according to a wine grower.
Christopher White, who manages the largest single vineyard in the UK, Denbies Wine Estate, said the long process of making wine meant growers could not respond quickly to changing demand.
He told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money that high prices for British wine would decrease if vineyards expanded and "economies of scale" were put into place.
