South Africa's metal workers strike for higher wages
Only days after the end of the long-running platinum miners' strike, about 200,000 metal workers and engineers in South Africa have downed tools in protest about low wages.
Businesses and investors are concerned that if this strike is protracted, it will have a damaging impact upon manufacturing and on the wider South African economy.
