Alibaba and Jack Ma - in 60 seconds

China's largest internet company Alibaba was expected to break records with more than $7bn (£4.4bn) of sales from its annual 'Singles' Day' shopping event.

Alibaba founder Jack Ma is one of the country's richest men after the business he founded floated on the New York Stock Exchange in September.

It was one of the biggest technology listings ever seen, valuing the company at $230bn.
