From mop to top: How former cleaner became Adnams exec

A former cleaning lady has become the new executive director of Suffolk brewer Adnams, after 26 years at the firm.

Karen Hester, a former armed forces ambulance driver, took the cleaning job as it fitted around the care needs of her two small children.

But after rising through the ranks, she has now joined the company's top brass.

She told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake up to Money how she did it.
