RBS apologises for giving 'incorrect' evidence to MPs

RBS has apologised after it was accused of giving incorrect evidence to MPs.

The Treasury Committee was investigating whether the bank forced some small firms to close, even though they were still financially viable.

RBS Chairman Sir Philip Hampton has admitted some of the evidence given had ''lacked clarity''.
