High-tech home for some of Singapore's migrant workers

Singapore has just built high-tech dormitory for some of its migrant workers.

The authorities say that Tuas View, with its beds for almost 17,000 men and medical and shopping facilities, is an ideal model for housing them - in the past human rights' groups have criticised the accommodation such workers are offered.

However, some suggest the plan is partly motivated by a desire to separate these workers from mainstream society.

The BBC's Charlotte Glennie now reports.
