Traffic jams in Indonesia's capital Jakarta are often so bad that travelling by car can eat up hours of your day.

As a result, taking a ride on a motorcycle taxi - which can weave through the gridlock - is extremely popular.

Entrepreneur Nadiem Makarim has taken that local knowledge and created an app to make it easier for people to book such taxis, and for the riders to find passengers.

He claims it has been downloaded faster than any other app in Indonesia.
