Volkswagen owners 'may have case for compensation'

Volkswagen owners whose vehicles have to be recalled in the wake of the emissions scandal "could have a case" for compensation, according to James Batchelor from Auto Express magazine.

He said "details are very sketchy" as to what VW are going to change in the cars they recall, but if it affects performance they could be open to compensation claims.

He also said that it is likely to be "a very long process".
