India cracks down on food stockpiling as prices rise

In India the cost of basic staple foods is out of reach for some people and rising prices are a major political issue.

Recently the value of lentils and other pulses has soared, affecting the poorest Indians the most.

In Maharashtra authorities are cracking down to prevent stockpiling.
