Police raid home of 'Bitcoin founder'

Australian police have raided the properties of Steven Wright, the man believed to be the founder of the virtual currency Bitcoin.

Mr Wright is supposed to to hold about a million Bitcoins worth about $400m... but what exactly is Bitcoin and how does it work?
