Office etiquette: Five rules for eating at your desk

Do you often book a table for one at your computer at work? So-called "desktop diners" are a common sight in many busy offices.

Just over half of us regularly work through our lunch breaks, a recent BBC study found.

In the US, more than three-quarters of workers regularly eat at their desk, according to research by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

For some it is the best way to eat when time is short - for others it is simply repellent.

Using real-life workers in a real office, BBC News recreated some common scenarios and filmed them on a smartphone.

The five tips for successful workplace solo dining were suggested by office etiquette trainer Ann Marie Sabath.
