Electric car pioneer Chetan Maini: 'The world is changing'

The Indian automotive manufacturer Mahindra has unveiled a new electric car that it claims is the cheapest on the market.

The new car was developed with the help of Chetan Maini, founder of Reva, the company that produced the G-Wiz electric car, which has become familiar on the streets of London.

Mahindra has since bought Reva, giving it access to the technology and resources at its disposal.

The BBC's Russell Padmore borrowed one of the original G-Wiz cars and caught up with Mr Maini to ask him more about the challenges facing electric cars and convincing drivers to buy one.
