Craft beer craze drives demand for hops in Australia

One of the biggest trends in alcohol consumption is the explosion in the popularity of craft beer globally, and possibly nowhere more than in Australia.

Over the last five years the industry's revenues in Australia have grown at an estimated annual rate of nearly 10% and the number of craft breweries is up almost 50% in the past two years alone.

That's meant a big increase in demand for hops.
