Jigsaw boss: Black Friday is a 'complete and utter deception'

The head of the fashion chain Jigsaw says his shops will not be offering discounts on Black Friday.

Chief executive Peter Ruis says the discounts that shops offer are "deceptions", because the goods are often not worth the original price.

He told the BBC that retailers should sell goods at the full price on Black Friday so they do not seem to be "traders peddling cheap stuff on a market stall".

Black Friday is the supposed start of the Christmas shopping rush when shops compete to get customers through their doors.
